His Story, Not Ours
Eighteen Twenty began in the fall of 2023 with ten girls praying on Ayers Lawn at the University of Tennessee. Just a simple yes and a hunger for Jesus.
Now, over 300 girls gather every Wednesday morning to pray, worship, read scripture, and seek God together. We’ve seen bold prayers, real friendships, and hearts transformed by His presence.
Eighteen Twenty exists to glorify God and make Him known. We create space for girls to encounter Jesus, grow in truth, and walk in faith-filled community.
This is His story. Every moment, every gathering, every life, He gets all the glory. And we believe this is only the beginning.

Hi, I’m Emmaline! I’m 22 years old, originally from Nashville, TN, and a graduate of Christ Presbyterian Academy. The Lord has called me into ministry, and I feel so blessed and excited to follow His lead. My heart is to empower women to find their voice and grow in their faith. Starting Eighteen Twenty with Lexi has been a beautiful journey where I discovered my passion for helping women feel seen, known, and deeply loved by God. I’m here to guide women in building an intimate relationship with God, where prayer plays a central role. Through Eighteen Twenty, God has shown me that prayer is the most productive thing we can do, and a vital part of understanding our identity as daughters of the King. I’m passionate about creating spaces where women can embrace their God given purpose and truly realize the importance of an intimate relationship with Him. I feel called to inspire, serve, and lead by example—reminding women of their worth, encouraging bold faith, and reflecting God's glory in everything we do. The vision of Eighteen Twenty is to empower women to embrace their individuality, spread the gospel, and be a shining light in their community.

Hi, I’m Lexi Fedd! I’m 21 years old and originally from Austin, TX. The Lord has unexpectedly called me into ministry, and I couldn’t be more grateful. My heart is for discipleship and mentoring younger women, walking alongside them as they grow into who God has made them to be. One of my favorite experiences in college at the University of Tennessee has been starting Eighteen Twenty with Emmaline—it has been such a blessing to pour into this community. I know my calling is to minister to the one rather than the many, and I find so much joy in intentional, personal discipleship. The Lord has given me an empathetic and servant-hearted spirit, as well as a deep passion for prayer. I’ve had the incredible opportunity to witness Him move through my own prayer life and in the lives of those around me. It’s truly a gift to be part of this prayer movement, and I can’t wait to see where He leads next!
Key Parts of Eighteen Twenty
-
Every week at Eighteen Twenty we take time to come together as one to pray for revival in our hearts, on our campus, and in our city. We all pray at the same time, each speaking quietly to the Lord in a humble murmur, lifting our voices together in unity and believing that God hears and moves when His people pray.
-
Each week at Eighteen Twenty our “Head of Devotion” reads a passage straight from the Word of God. This is not a teaching or a devotion, but simply a time to hear Scripture spoken aloud, allowing God’s Word to speak for itself and prepare our hearts for prayer.
-
During this time, each girl receives prayer prompts and a passage of Scripture to pray through and reflect on. We encourage them to underline or circle words and phrases that stand out, write prayers in the margins, and highlight attributes or promises of God. They are taught to ask, “What does this tell me about God?” and “How should I respond?” This time is meant to help them listen to the Lord through His Word and respond in prayer.
-
This is our biggest focus of the morning. We start off by praying for one another out loud, lifting up the person on our right by name. Prayer is not about perfect words, it is simply talking to God, and the most productive thing you can do is pray. In this time, we gather in small circles where praying for friends is normal and encouraged. The Holy Spirit equips us as we lift one another up, ask names, and speak our prayers aloud. Even if it feels a little uncomfortable at first, this is where we grow together in faith and unity. After we pray, we take time to discuss the Scripture that was read at the beginning of the morning, allowing God’s Word to guide our conversations and shape our hearts.
-
Coffee has become a sweet and purposeful part of our prayer mornings. It not only helps get the girls out of bed, but also encourages them to arrive early, giving everyone time to gather, connect, and prepare their hearts. Offering free coffee is a simple and effective way to invite new faces to join us. The affirmations on each cup lid add a personal touch, allowing the girls to carry encouragement with them throughout the day. This often sparks conversations and creates opportunities to share hope with classmates. Coffee also creates a warm and welcoming space where friendships grow, small talk flows, and our community becomes even stronger.
